Lebanon guest of honor at the “Rencontres de Coproduction Francophone” in Brussels
With the support of the Fondation Liban Cinema, Lebanon was a guest of honor at the Rencontres de Coproduction Francophone in Brussels in November 2021.
The Fondation Liban Cinema also accompanied two Lebanese films selected for the ‘Rencontres de Coproductions Francophones’.

These selected Lebanese filmmakers and producers had over 20 meetings with different national film funds from Belgium such as the CNC and the Luxembourg Film Fund, and pitched their films in development to potential international coproducers and distributors such as Umedia, Tarantula, Wild Fang Films, Box Productions, Arizona, and Potemkine Films. They had the opportunities to learn about new co-production methods with different French-speaking countries, and establish personal relationships with them.
In the framework of these encounters, a panel was organized about the Lebanese cinema, which has unfortunately not been spared from the social, economic and financial crisis that Lebanon has been experiencing since 2019.
