OPEN CALL FOR LEBANESE FILM STUDENTS

Fondation Liban Cinema invites Lebanese film students to participate in an anthology film project that seeks to explore and document life during these challenging and uncertain times. We aim to capture the feelings, impressions, struggles, and humanity of individuals living in the current context through the lens of emerging filmmakers.
This project will be a platform for your voice and perspective to an important artistic endeavor that reflects the complexities of life in Lebanon today. If you’re a film student that wants to be part of a meaningful project, we want to hear from you.
Submission Guidelines:
Please submit a short film (5 minutes in length) in which you film or narrate whatever you would like to say. You can use the following questions to help guide your personal response (optional):
1. Who are you in time of war?
2. Who are you after the war?
3. What are you looking forward to?
Submission Requirements:
– The film must be a maximum of 5 minutes in duration.
– The film needs to be shot in horizontal format.
– You are encouraged to be as creative as possible, using any style or medium that best represents your vision (documentary, experimental, fiction, etc.).
NB: Please show caution when filming in public spaces, and always get the consent of all persons appearing in your film.
Deadline:
All films must be submitted by June 2nd.
This call is not just about making a film, but about expressing your truth, your story, and your unique perspective on Lebanon’s current challenges. Your voice matters, and we want to see it through your lens.
