For its 4th edition, La Nuit des Mabrouk, the annual fundraising event organized by Fondation Liban Cinema (FLC), under the patronage of the Minister of Culture that took place this year on the 11th of November at the O1NE, highlighted the importance of music in movies by shedding the light on the main Lebanese movie composers who emerged from the beginning of the film industry in Lebanon.
The event honored the Lebanese artists who distinguished themselves internationally by their music compositions.
A jury composed of professional musicians and experts in music pre-selected film compositions few months ago, that were produced and released in theaters since 2003, date of creation of the FLC and two prices were handed during the event:
• The public award who voted online for his 3 favorite music compositions that were attributed to Nadim Michlawi for Ghadi by Amin Dora, Khaled Mouzannar for Caramel by Nadine Labaki and Cynthia Zaven for The Last Man by Ghassan Salhab.
• The prize of the jury who selected his preferred music composition that was attributed to Charbel Habr and Scrambled Eggs for the movie Je Veux Voir by Joanna and Khalil Jreij
Tributes to Gabriel Yared and The Rahbanis produced by the Fondation Liban Cinema were screened during the event, as well as a short documentary directed by Lara Saba “ Dessine moi une musique” who introduced all the Lebanese film composers.
This evening was highlighted by 3 special concerts: Zeid Hamdan, Khaled Mouzannar Quintet and Toufic Farroukh who came all the way from France to cloture this beautiful, prestigious and entertaining eve .. Thank you for being part of it and see you all next year!
