Fondation Liban Cinema presents
La Nuit des Mabrouk with the premiere screening of Lebanon Factory short films
Under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghattas khoury, Fondation Liban Cinema had the pleasure to host the 6th edition of the prestigious event “La Nuit des Mabrouk” 2017 that was presented by the actress Christine Choueiry
This year, a jury of international and national professionals rewarded, amongst a list of the 2 last year’s productions, films that received the awards for Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best First Film, Jury award, Special Price Award, Best actress and actor, Best Image and Best Sound Creation
- Best feature film: Tramontane by Vatche Boulghourjian, awarded by H.E Dr. Ghattas Khoury
- Best documentary: A Maid for Each by Maher Abi Samra, awarded by Dima el Horr
- Best first film: Trêve by Myriam El Hajj, awarded by Nadine Labaki
- Jury award: Tadmor by Monika Borgmann and Lokman Slim, awarded by Rabih haddad
- Special price award: Julia Kassar, awarded by Dima Horr
- Best actress: Manale Issa in Peur de Rien by Danielle Arbid, awarded by Gaby Chamoun
- Best actor : Rodrigue Sleiman, Said Serhan and Raed Yassin in Tombé du ciel, awarded by Nadine Labaki
- Best image : La Vallée by Ghassan Salhab, awarded by Christian Jeune
- Best sound creation: La Vallée by Ghassan Salhab, awarded by Christian Jeune
The event also witnessed the Avant Premiere screening of the Lebanon Factory’s films, 4 Lebanese short films that opened the fortnight of this year’s Cannes Film Festival:
White Noise (Ahmad Ghossein and Lucie La Chimia), Salamat From Germany (Una Gunjak in collaboration with Rami Kodeih), Hotel Al Naim (Shirin Abu Shaqra and Manuel Maria Perrone) and El Gran Libano (Mounia Akl and Neto Villalobos)
