The multiplication of co-production agreements is essential for the revitalization and financing of this sector. In the frame of its cooperation agreement with the Lebanese Ministry of Culture, FLC began negotiations in 2016 with the Centre du Cinema et de l’ Audiovisuel (CCA) of the Wallonie-Bruxelles region. Today, this agreement is finally signed. Through it, Belgium and Lebanon advocate cultural diversity and intend to give impetus to Belgian-Lebanese cooperation in the field of cinema and contribute to numerous cultural and economic exchanges between the two countries.
This agreement offers Lebanese professionals greater ease in co- producing with Belgium and makes collaborations between Lebanon and Belgium much smoother.
Belgian producers and directors will have easier access to Lebanese projects and producers with whom they wish to intensify their collaboration.
In this framework, a first informative meeting took place in Cannes Film Festival 2024 between Lebanese and Belgian producers to know more about producing in both countries.
