For the first time in Lebanon, EAVE was proud to organize an EAVE ON DEMAND online session in co-operation with Fondation Liban Cinéma, in partnership with the French Institute of Lebanon and the Arab Fund For Arts and Culture (AFAC) on the 28, 29 and 30 of September for Lebanese producers
EAVE ON DEMAND BEIRUT combined the long experience that EAVE has in international training and networking with a tailor-made approach for producers from Lebanon, taking into account their specific needs. The objective was to improve the participants’ skills in international coproduction, film finance and management, marketing, packaging, festival and sales strategies as well as script development, allowing them to take the next step in their careers and businesses. The workshop consisted of group work and individual meetings for the selected projects in development, as well as master-classes for a wider audience. The workshop hosted 3 tutors: Jacques Akchoti, a French-Lebanese scriptwriter, Roshanak Behesht Nedjad an Iranian-German Producer and Aranka Matits a German Sales agent.
5 Lebanese producers took part in this intense workshop: Omar el Kadi (from Paris), Yara Abi Nader, Jana Wehbe, Dima el Joundi and Lara Abou Saifan. The 5 producers had the time to talk about their respective projects in group sessions and in individual meetings to explain the strategy used for their films and get feedbacks from the other participants and the tutors.
The workshop shed the light mainly on making every project universal, targeting the right audience and producing creatively a project. 3 online masterclasses open to the public took place during the workshop as well.
