in cooperation with
The Lebanese Pavilion
71st Cannes Film Festival
8-19 May 2018
For the 13th consecutive year, Fondation Liban Cinema and the Tourism Office of Lebanon in France were present in the 71st edition of Cannes International Film Festival. Our presence in Cannes was in cooperation with the Lebanese Ministry of Culture and with the collaboration of IDAL-the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon.
Lebanon was proud to have Capharnaüm by Nadine Labaki in the official selection of Cannes Film Festival 2018 that won the jury price award.
Throughout the festival, we were happy to welcome everyone on the Lebanese Pavilion, where people had the opportunity to meet with the cinema professionals of the country.
This year, lebanese filmmaker Khalil Joreige was a member of la Cinéfondation jury.
Lebanese producers are going into international production and succeeding: Georges Schoucair through his company Schortcut Productions has coproduced some remarkable recent titles such as Le livre d’image in official selection and Rafiki presented in Un Certain regard section.[/fusion_text][images picture_size=”fixed” autoplay=”no” columns=”1″ column_spacing=”13″ scroll_items=”” show_nav=”yes” mouse_scroll=”no” border=”yes” lightbox=”yes” class=”” id=””][image link=”” linktarget=”_self” image=”http://l5i.c3c.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/lebanese-pavilion.jpg” alt=””][image link=”” linktarget=”_self” image=”http://l5i.c3c.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/lebanese-pavilion-1.jpg” alt=””][image link=”” linktarget=”_self” image=”http://l5i.c3c.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/lebanese-pavilion-2.jpg” alt=””][image link=”” linktarget=”_self” image=”http://l5i.c3c.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/lebanese-pavilion-3.jpg” alt=””][image link=”” linktarget=”_self” image=”http://l5i.c3c.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/lebanese-pavilion-4.jpg” alt=””][/images][fusion_text]The highlights of our program this year were as follows:
